Are these breakbeat samples royalty free?
Yes. They come with the same 100% royalty-free licence as our paid packs, so you can use them in tracks you release, stream, sell, play out or place in sync without owing anything more. What BPM and key are the breaks?
Every break is a 4-bar loop: 12 at 120 BPM, 10 at 126 BPM and 8 at 128 BPM, so they sit at house and tech house tempo without stretching. Nine of them are labelled with a key, eight in E minor and one in F major.
How do I use breakbeats in house music?
Run a break under your main kick and high-pass it somewhere around 150 to 250 Hz so the two kicks don't fight, then sidechain it lightly to the kick. You can also chop single hits into a new pattern for fills, or bring the break in for the last 8 bars before a drop to lift the energy.
