Are these vocal samples royalty free?
Yes. They come with the same 100% royalty-free licence as our paid packs, so you can use them in tracks you release, stream, sell, play out or place in sync without owing anything more. The one rule is that you can't share or resell the sounds themselves. The full licence is in our terms of service.
What BPM and key are the vocal hooks?
Twelve hooks are at 126 BPM and three at 140 BPM, and each file name gives its key: D minor, G# minor, Bb minor, F minor, B minor or C# minor. The 15 vocal FX have no key or tempo, so they drop into any track.
What are MC and toast vocals?
Toasting is the chanted, rhythmic vocal style that grew out of Jamaican sound system culture, where MCs talk and chant over the riddim. It carried into jungle, UK garage and bass music, and these hooks bring that energy to house and bass tracks.
How do I fit a vocal hook to my track?
Pick a hook in your track's key, or pitch it a semitone or two to match. Warp it to your project tempo if it differs; the 126 BPM hooks drop straight into house. A high-pass filter and a few delay throws help it sit on top of the beat.
